

Aparup Mukherjee![]() Aparup Mukherjee graduated in Visual Arts, with specialization in Painting from the Government College of Art & Craft, Kolkata. His control over his brushstroke and his mastery over the water colour medium, won him several awards included among which are, the Principal's Award from the Government College of Art & Craft, the West Bengal Governor's Award, a Special Award from Kala Bharati, a Certificate of Merit from the Society of Oriental Art., a Certificate of Merit from the Government College of Art & Craft, and a Special Prize for the Best Student from the Government College of Art & Craft (awarded by the Ex Prime Minister of India, Rajiv Gandhi). This Indian artist was also granted a scholarship by the West Bengal Culture & Information Centre to pursue his studies. Aparup Mukherjee has been exhibiting his works since 1980 and has been a part of several solo and group shows around the country. His works can be found in several public and private collections like the British High Commission and that of Bikash Bhattacharjee to name a couple. |
