Paresh Maity belongs to the Bengal school of Indian art. He graduated in Fine Arts from the Govt. College of Art & Crafts, Kolkata and then went on to get his Masters in Fine Arts from the Delhi College of Art, where he topped his class.

Paresh has had over forty-five solo exhibitions and has participated in several prestigious art workshops and group shows across India and abroad. His work has won accolades in USA, United Kingdom, Germany, France, Switzerland, Hungary and Singapore. His art has found its own space in several renowned collections the world over, including the British Museum and the National Gallery of Modern Art in New Delhi.

In his short career span, Paresh has made a name for himself in the Indian and international art world. He has won many prestigious awards, which include awards from the Royal Watercolour Society, London; Birla Academy of Art and Culture, Kolkata; Academy of Fine Arts, Kolkata; Indo American Society, Mumbai; Harmony Award, Mumbai; College of Art, New Delhi and AIFACS, New Delhi.
